Today, Prime Ministers Alexander De Croo and Jonas Gahr Støre, met in Ghent as part of the enhanced Belgium-Norway dialogue and cooperation on climate, energy, and industrial transformation. In preparation to the North Sea Summit in Ostend, the Prime Ministers stressed the importance to the long-standing cooperation between Norway and Belgium, based on shared values and interests.

Prime Minister Alexander De Croo will digitally participate in the Bucha Summit tomorrow. March 31 marks exactly one year since Bucha was liberated and Russian war crimes came to light.

Prime Minister Alexander De Croo will participate in the second online Summit for Democracy tomorrow Wednesday 29 March at the invitation of US President Joe Biden. The central topic of the summit of government leaders, civil society and the private sector is democracy and human rights.

Prime Minister Alexander De Croo will meet Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchéz on Thursday 23 March. The two heads of government will prepare the European Council and discuss the priorities of the Belgian Presidency of the European Union (first half of 2024).

On Wednesday 22 March 2022, Prime Minister Alexander De Croo will receive his Swedish counterpart Ulf Kristersson.

The two heads of government will exchange views on current issues such as migration, the economy and Ukraine in the run-up to the European Summit which will be held on 23-24 March.

Both prime ministers will also discuss the priorities of the Belgian Presidency of the European Union (first half of 2024).

Today, the Belgian-German Energy Summit took place in Zeebruges in the presence of Prime Minister Alexander De Croo and Chancellor Olaf Scholz. Belgium and Germany signed a common declaration to strengthen and enhance their energy cooperation.

Prime Minister Alexander De Croo will host German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Zeebrugge on Tuesday 14 February for a Belgian-German Energy Summit.
