- 10 a.m. Official opening with speeches, followed by a tour in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, the Minister of Defence and the Supreme Allied Commander Europe, and an opportunity for interviews.

SHAPE (Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe) is NATO’s central command centre in Europe and is based in Casteau, Belgium, since 1967.
The FPS Finance is responsible for the management of the SHAPE base’s real estate assets and manages the maintenance, rental, construction and reconstruction of the buildings.
Thanks to a successful cooperation between FPS Finance and SHAPE, around 300 new houses and 300 new flats will be built by 2026. This new SHAPE-Village will be occupied by military personnel and civilians of various nationalities within the framework of NATO activities.
Construction began in 2020 and the first houses will be completed in October 2021. The inauguration of the first houses will take place on October 19th. On this occasion, a guided tour will be organised for the journalists.
