From the beginnings of independent Belgium to federalism through post?war multilateralism, a chronological circuit highlights a few moments that have marked Belgium's commitment on the European and world scene. This exhibition also provides valuable insights into the evolution of the diplomatic and consular careers and takes a look at daily life in our department. The environment in which the actors of Belgian diplomacy go about their daily duties in Brussels as well as abroad is another interesting theme within the exhibition. Last, a selection of archive documents, photographs, audio-visual memories, symbolic objects . all these exhibits offer the visitor in this commemorative year a unique opportunity to discover our diplomacy, a Diplomatic and Consular Corps that has constantly worked for 175 years so that Belgium - today as a federal State - could act in an efficient and committed manner in the concert of Nations.
