At a time that everyone has questions about the future of our social protection, FULL SOCIAL JACKET proposes a new way to find answers: it wants to take the pulse with regard to pensions, health care reimbursements, re-employment, … by means of a documentary film and gives the floor to everyone: those who work on social protection from day to day as well as those who have questions about the future of social protection. FULL SOCIAL JACKET is a web documentary launched by a public service: an absolute première!
After the presentation of FULL SOCIAL JACKET on 4 December 2013, Mrs Laurette ONKELINX, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Social Affairs and Public Health reacted as follows: "The choices we have to make are becoming more important every day. That is why I am happy that our social protection is put in the spotlights. I call on everyone to participate and to take the floor, in order to enable us to create a high-quality social jacket, woven with solidarity."
This project, built around a web documentary on the social protection of the Belgians and the Europeans, offers a wide variety of means to launch and feed the debate: ten thematic documentary movies on child day care, social housing, pensions, health care and long-term care, social economy, volunteering, work, persons with disabilities, and the social Europe, in-depth explanations by experts (video), computer animations, a game to help tailoring the social jacket, a blog and an exposition that is in the pipeline. Mr Tom AUWERS, Director-general Strategy and Research of the Federal Public Service (FPS) Social Security reminded that "Full Social Jacket is part of our public service mission, i.e. defending the Belgian social model at international level. At the FPS Social Security, we want to pursue this objective in the service of the citizens and we want to involve as many partners as possible."
